How do you wear yours?
Wearable tech is nothing new - Think movies and Q's watches for Bond, the wired colander brain scanner Rick Moranis wore in Ghostbusters or more recently and scarily available today, Tom Cruise in Minority Report's augmented reality. Weirdly though, in the real world, wearable tech has not made it's humungous impact, with the exception of the healthcare industry, where wearable devices, have found their true home. Think fitness and exercise with Nike+, Fitbit and Jawbone; Instant patient data records in consultations, augmented surgery via augmented reality and recovery/therapy by recording and evaluating a patients exercise..each using Google Glass. Not tech enough!? How about and on its way, contact lenses with microscopic sensors that monitor blood sugar levels, then extrapolating this innovation to monitoring how long you blink and how long your eyes stay shut while driving.....So where's it all going and How will YOU wear yours? and more importantly, how will wearable tech influence healthcare in the future?
