Why not use game mechanics to help people embrace a healthier lifestyle, follow treatment plans, and help reduce pain? Since games improve user engagement and have proven to decrease pain... why not leverage these techniques and apply them to the patient leveraging technology? Let's create/define a new paradigm around a "gamified patient experience". We will give you a brief background on game design, existing applicable tech, and games to spice up the discussion. We will focus on either prevention, treatment of a particular illness, and create together a few product concepts that may improve the patient experience.
