Let's talk about aging. In the US, 43.5 million of adult family caregivers care for someone 50+ years of age and 14.9 million care for someone who has Alzheimer's disease or other dementia.
Despite these billions of hours of unpaid care and personal sacrifice, direct financial costs are enormous, with e.g. $214 billion spent last year just on Alzheimer's care in the US.
