Can your boss tell you what to do on social media?
Yes, no... maybe to an extent.
When you opt-in to advocate for your company on your personal social media platforms, do you really have the freedom to say what you feel and does the company have the right to tell you to delete your opinion piece?
When employees share their opinions about their company's actions or achievements online, external parties perceive it as more trustworthy. But what happens now? There needs to be some level of control or agreement between the employee and employer of what is acceptable to say online...but how can a company control what employees talk about on social in an ethical way?
